Holdnight Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Holdnight Android app handles information. It matches what the app does today. Holdnight does not create user accounts and does not run its own cloud service for mixes, imported audio, or sleep data.

Information stored on your device

Holdnight stores mix presets, favorites, playback history, language, the last playback snapshot (including sleep-timer end time), and in-app review counters in app private storage (database and preferences).

If you import local audio, Holdnight copies the file into its private folder. That copy is used only for playback in this app. Imported audio is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup.

If you buy Pro or a sound pack, Holdnight stores the Play product ID and purchase token on the device so purchases can be restored. Those tokens are not uploaded to a Holdnight server.

Information we do not collect ourselves

The app has no sign-in, email capture, or Holdnight account. Mix names, volumes, imported files, and history are not sent to a Holdnight backend. Holdnight does not include a first-party analytics SDK.

Google Play Billing

Subscriptions and one-time packs are processed by Google Play. Google handles payment details. Holdnight only receives purchase state needed to unlock features. Google’s privacy policy applies to that processing.

Advertising (free use)

If you are not a Pro member, Holdnight shows Google AdMob banner ads on the main tabs and interstitial ads when you leave the full-screen player, subject to consent, cooldown, and other in-app gates. Sound-pack purchases alone do not remove ads. Pro (monthly, annual, or lifetime) removes ads; Holdnight then does not initialize AdMob.

Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform asks for ads consent before ads are requested. Google may collect advertising ID, device and app information, IP address, and approximate location if it is available to Google’s ads services. Holdnight does not request location permission.

Other Google services

Play In-App Review may run after you have used sleep-timer or saved-mix features, and only when the app is in the foreground. The review UI is provided by Google Play. The app stores local counters so it does not request a review too often.

Notifications and network

Holdnight requests notification permission so a foreground playback notification can stay visible while the screen is off. That notification is not used for marketing.

Internet access is used for ads, billing, consent, and in-app review. Built-in sound layers play from on-device samples or synthesis and do not need a network connection to mix.

Children

Holdnight is a general-audience overnight mixer. It is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

You can buy Pro to stop ads. You can respond to the consent form where Google shows it. Changing language is stored only on the device. Uninstalling Holdnight deletes its private files, database, and preferences on that device.

Changes

If Holdnight’s practices change (for example a new SDK or an account system), this policy will be updated in the app and on this page before those practices ship.
